Let’s make some tipsy calligraphy artworks for our walls! In this 3 hour workshop we will work
with brush pens and practice the greek calligraphy alphabet. At the end we will make a A5 piece of art, frame it and hung it on our walls.
In the 3-hour calligraphy workshop, participants will discover the magic of the art of calligraphy!
We will explore the Greek calligraphic alphabet (Copperplate script) and learn the correct
techniques for using brush pens. Through practice, we will discover how to write the letters and connect them to create beautiful words. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a unique piece of artwork that will be framed and hung in their wall.
About Elpida Zacharaki:
Elpida Zacharaki, also known as elvatomouro, is a calligrapher and designer born in 1991 in
Athens. She studied Art and Design, specializing in typography and handwritten calligraphy
techniques. In 2014, Athens Portfolio Night sent her to New York, and upon her return, she
began working in the advertising industry while simultaneously practicing calligraphy. In 2016,
she started teaching calligraphy, and in 2020, she decided to quit her office job to pursue her
dream of becoming an independent artist. Since then, she has maintained a studio in Athens
and has collaborated with international brands and participated in exhibitions. Her work focuses
on calligraphy using analog methods, where she seeks to capture the authenticity of this art
form. She studies Greek and international manuscripts, and through these studies, she creates her own letterforms. Her aim is to inspire and motivate people with the harmony found in the multidimensional art of letters.
